Since its release in 2007, the franchise has become the preeminent skateboarding title, surpassing even the “Tony Hawk” games. My favorite way of doing it has been the “Skate” series. I find it easier and, yes, less painful to ride virtually on screen. I could spend a lifetime trying, and I’d be nowhere except lying prostrate on the ground or rolling around, crying over a splintered leg. I’m physically incapable of balancing on wood and wheels without skinning my elbow or fracturing my skull. Review: ‘Skate 3’ not for novices – East Bay Times
